After having amazed, bowled over and roused all the nationalities of the globe with their very first show, the Incredible Drum Show…
… Fills Monkey are back in Paris with a new exhilarating show: “We Will Drum You”.
1 hour and 30 minutes of laughter and poetry, invented between Montreal, New York and Berlin. A marvelous journey of initiation, for all audiences, and studded with great encounters, new inspirations and diverse influences, all in a world suspended between earth and sky and between an acoustic past and a digital future.
Enriched by this unique experience, Fills Monkey have hatched an out-of-the ordinary show with a mix of all styles of music from rock to heavy metal, and including jazz, classical, Latino and electro….
Not to mention lots of allusions to their favorite groups: AC/DC, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, U2, Offspring, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, Queen, and also Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Grease, Led Zeppelin, Daft Punk.
Their drumsticks are magic and their beats go straight to the heart!

54 projectors, 2 stage-prop doors, 1 electronic drum, 16 bells, 124 pairs of drumsticks, 2 pairs of light-up drumsticks, 6 bass drums, 50 other drums, 19 cymbals, 86 drum skins, 12 towels, 4 boomwhackers, 1 frame, 1 banjo, 1 skateboard, 2 sabers, 1 power screwdriver, 2 ping-pong paddles, 1 hang, liters of water, 6 FL 1300, 4 LED screens measuring 2.3 m wide x 2 m deep x 3.64 m high each, 2 toilet brushes, 4 baskets of 700 kg each to hold the LED screens, kilos of fruit, 1 CL5 console, a little beer, 2 Rio 3234, 2 4U racks including 2 Macs and their screens , 12 people on the road, 1 trombone, 2 mounted 15-inch stage monitors in the wings, 2 12-inch wedge stage monitors, 1 semi-trailer, 1 van, 1 car and 2 electric mixers and 1 chainsaw!

from the director
Fills Monkey is above all a family.
At its center, Yann and Sébastien are the heart that beats: two unclassifiable, inspired and inspiring musicians.
I was adopted into their family as director in 2016.
Two years of work, hundreds of hours of rehearsals, numerous round trips between Quebec and France, shared meals, heated exchanges, doubts and sometimes snags, but always a sort of common vibration or background wave that carried us towards the same dream: that of transcending the limits of language and of reaching out towards a form that defies all plans drawn out ahead of time. Or, as Antonin Artaud said, “brûler des formes pour gagner la vie” (burn away forms in order to attain life).
We wager on joy, harmony, rhythm, poetry and humor to offer you our music and to celebrate what beats within us – that which connects us to one another since time immemorial.
Thanks to you, our family is growing, becoming boundless and constantly celebrating the strength of a fledgling world. Welcome, and thank you.
