never goes about things half-heartedly. And so, when he started music in 1994, he studied drums, orchestral percussions, piano and jazz guitar. In 2000 he joined the band JMPZ and helped compose the albums “Subsonic” (2004) and “Sound Asylum” (2007). The JMPZ adventure continued with over 500 concerts in France, Belgium, Switzerland as well as Quebec.
He collaborates and has collaborated with numerous artists from varied horizons: Metal Kartoon and Mörglbl with Christophe Godin and Ivan Rougny Parabellum, DJ Davis, Outside Project (James Mc Gaw from the band Magma and Eric Prost), Nono (Trust), Loren Lopez, MacZde Carpate, Batucada Pulse and Nudje (with D’ju Lacharme (Alpha Blondy). Seb is also a demonstrator for the brand DW-Drum Workshop.

started the drums at just 11 years old with Hossine Meniri at the Agostini Academy of Lyon. This gave him the skill and the means to start up his own bands from as early as 16. As a drummer and guitarist, he rubs shoulders with all kinds of styles: rock, hip/hop, metal, blues, funk as well as electronic music (Dub, Tek, Drum’n’bass, Breakbeat). He has even tried his hand at samba and zouk! In 1998, he started up DOPPLeR, a noise trio that pushed beyond all the boundaries of noise and skill complexity for a decade. His career gathered pace in 2000 as he made the acquaintance of Philippe Prohom, who for five years and two albums took him along on the roads of France and beyond. During this time he made his first studio sessions with Universal, in particular for the albums of Emma Daumas (Star Academy) and Mélissa Mars (Mozart, L’Opera Rock). In 2006 he joined forces with No One Is Innocent.
In 2009, he took control of the drums on Anais’s Love Tour. That year also saw the birth of the FILLS MONKEY project, developed with Sébastien Rambaud. Yann Coste is now acknowledged on the French scene as one of the country’s foremost drummers.
